So i have bought a physical copy of the game on disc which is now only working as digital download with all this updates.And the best thing is after this update my game won’t even start.Pathetic!

I also have MCC on disk and mine works just fine after the update. Maybe you could detail your issue more so we get a better idea of what’s going on?
Also what do you mean by the disk is pointless? Because it installs the full game on the hard drive?

I started downloading the update yesterday and paused it like 5 times total and then i downloaded ODST first and the rest of over 70 gigabytes after that.And now the game won’t start,it just kicks me back to dashboard after couple seconds and it says try again the game has taken too long to start.I tried hard reseting my xbox 4 times already but my game won’t start.The disk is pointless because i can’t start the damn game!

So you’ve already started troubleshooting by hard resetting your console. You should try some other troubleshooting methods. First, check your disk for any scratches or dirt that could be interfering with the disk reader. Clean it if necessary. Next, I would try deleting your profile from your console and redownloading it (I’m not sure if this will help but it’s an easier step than what comes next). Next, as annoying as it will be, I would try completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game. If that doesn’t work, the last resort would be to factory reset your console.
If you have a nearby friend with an Xbox, a good control test would be to take your MCC disk to that console and try to install/play it on your profile.
If you need help with any of the suggested steps, a quick Google search will break down how to do them.

Have you set it to install now rather than just leaving it in the queue? I think its important to have it installed. Otherwise I’m not sure.

Yes i tried it both ways couple of times,but it doesn’t fix it for me.Thank you for trying to help.

Yeah but that did nothing for me. It was just ODST that was my problem. I think I declined the ODST update prompt initially and the game needs it to launch
