Alright so first off this is the only game its happening on, yes I’ve tried other games, yes they all worked, no it’s not the xbox.
I bought Halo 4 the other day popped it in and played through most of the campaign. Then all of a sudden when it went to jump to a cut scene when it transitions between chapters, the game crashed and I received my first ‘Disc Unreadable’ error. I checked the disc, no scratches of any kind, popped it back in, crashed again. It didn’t want to start the chapter I was on. Ok, cool, so I decided to install the game to my HDD. I successfully installed it, turned the game on and Ta-Da, it worked fine and I was able to finish the campaign no problem. I then installed Disc 2 so I could play War Games. I successfully installed disc 2, no problem, put disc 1 back in and proceeded to play some multiplayer War Games. Everything seemed alright until a few games in, after I finished a game of Infinity Slayer, and it went to the loading screen to transition into the score screen, WHAT DO YA KNOW! game crashes and I get the same ‘Disc Unreadable’ error. Which doesn’t even make any sense. The whole point of Installing the game onto your HDD is so you avoid errors such as this. In fact it’s really an impossible error since when you install the game to your HDD the game ceases to read off the disc and only reads the game off the HDD. So I’ve come to the conclusion this is not a disc error, this is not a xbox error, this is a Microsoft 343 industries error. I’ve read countless people on this forum and others have the same issue on all different kinds of Xbox’s and they’ve returned their games several times only to get the same error. HEY 343 FIX IT!!! REALIZE THE PROBLEM IS ON YOUR END AND PATCH THIS THING IMMEDIATELY!!!
