Disc 1 unreadable (isn't mocked)

Hello !
To begin, sorry for my bad english, i’m french.

So, i have a problem with my game Halo 4.
I can’t install my disc 1 (it stop at 1,3,18,30,70…%)
I can’t play the campaign. I can see the prologue (but i can’t pass it) and when it ends, the game returns to the main menu.
My disc isn’t mocked, i can play with MY disc 1 on the xbox 360 of a friend.
My xbox 360 can read all other games, just the disc 1 of Halo 4 isn’t read.

I have a xbox 360 arcade.

I read somewhere that it could be an incompatibility between olds dvd players of 360 and new dvd format.

Does microsoft think to compensate persons who having this problem ?

Are you able to return and trade it with the store that sold it to you?

Do you have a friend that has a copy that you can try to use his copy on your xbox in order to see if the problem is due to the disc or your xbox?

Do you have enough room on the xbox360 harddrive to install the disc?

I think the problem isn’t the dvd, because i can play with it on the xbox’s friend.
I think the problem is an incompatibility between the dvd player and the disc.
My games runs on other xbox 360.
My xbox 360 reads all games expect the disc 1 of Halo 4.
But, i’m not sure. And when i tell the xbox support they don’t konw where does the problem.

I haven’t friends who have Halo 4.

I have an HDD 60 go with 16go free.

You could try calling Xbox Support, maybe they know what causes it.

I’ve never heard of DVD drive incompatibility; I’m pretty sure they all use the same. I know people with Arcade Xbox’s who can play Halo: Reach and Halo 4, and my Xbox 360 can play both games. Don’t think it’s DVD drive.

Chances are it’s your Xbox 360 or the disc, but I might be wrong.
