So I decided to try out the Vanguard achievement on The Covenant today. I read a dozen different forums - achievement hunter, youtube, etc - and everyone said timing is critical. Many people had problems reaching 50000 points even with the time bonus and this is why I am in disbelief. Half way through the level I reached 50000 points. I just had 4 gold skulls and 3 silver skulls on. It took me an hour to complete, had 3 deaths and 2 friendly fire kills and by the time I reached the end of the level I had just shy of 88000 points. Every single meta game achievement only took one try. I don’t understand why people say these challenges are difficult. The Covenant on Heroic with Famine, Fog, Tough Luck and Thunderstorm, Grunt Birthday, Cowbell, Iwhbyd on, and in 65 minutes.
Same thing goes for Cortana. The guide I viewed for Orpheus said play it on normal and take your time and if you’re lucky you’ll hit 15000 points. I did this and nearly hit 40000. Did it again today on heroic and again almost 40000 points.
