Anyone else find this to be a bother? The general size of the map is way too big for this gametype.
Using the BR on this map is just a joke. And the red team always has a generous amount of help due to the reddish hues of Complex.
Every time I look for a game of SWAT I’m always joining a game that’s in progress on this map, so I switch my network connections and prevent myself from joining EVERY TIME.
I haven’t played a game on Complex in ages, feels sooooo good. The worst gametype for this map is Regicide. Seriously??? I’m not going to spend my time looking for 5 other guys all over this map. BTW I got a perfection on Complex in SWAT, as Blue team, with just the Magnum lol(I was going for the Mag commendation).
The reason why CTF is unbalanced on this map is clearly because of the Base/map layout. You get a cleaner get away with the flag when you spawn in the back of complex, with more cover.
Rather than the front of complex, which has a wide open field where the flag is kept.
Bad, oversized map is just bad, oversized map. I don’t know how anyone could approved it for any 4v4 gametype. I can only guess that with Team Snipers it could somehow work, but with so many buildings I’m not sure.
Honestly, I don’t mind this map (I won’t vote for it thru). I think 343i’s original plan for this was a map built for long range combat with DMRs and LRs. So it’s pretty obvious that the DMR lovers will vote so much for this map. However I feel like having this map pop up in matchmaking every now and then is like a breath of fresh air from the CQC battles of maps like Haven (my fav).

The red team has a generous advantage because the blue spawns on that map are awful. Perch 2-3 guys on big roof, and have them survey blue’s whole side - half the time, the blue guys will spawn in the open within the reds’ line of sight, or in a position whereby they have to move into the open to move at all. It’s a spawn trap created by terrible spawns rather than intelligent player positioning and knowledge of map spawns.
I don’t play SWAT, but I can only imagine this issue is exacerbated due to the ability to OHK. In Slayer or CTF, any half-decent red team should win (despite the imbalanced nature of Complex’s CTF), as the blue team will be unable to move (outside of Scattershot/P2 spawns, and those can also be seen from big roof).
at first, i didn’t like it too. but with the time i got used to it
& how to play on it. you just have to stay in covers & always have an
eye for the roof where everyones camping. so easy to kill them there haha.
now i liked it. i got a few months ago my very first running riot there.
ha, good times.
