No Statue or Helmet? It’d be cool to include Master Cheif’s brand new helmet, Like Halo 3 did.
No big giant -Yoink!- packaging?
It’s Basically just a bunch of download content you can get separately. Plus, giving people an unfair advantage and unbalancing the game even more on Day 1 because they were willing to pay $30 more? Why?
I’m really disappointed, and I’m not 100% into pre-ordering it, I’ll probably just stick to the normal edition, doubt I will… love me my collectable Halo games…
Apparently it’s in a steel case. Anyways, I agree. It’s not worth it to pay extra just for some cheap in game content that gives you a short head start, and a camo you probably won’t use after the first week of release.

so its disappointing because you want more? Its disappointing because there is no legendary edition that will overstock in stores? I think its pretty smart for them to do this. Bungie actually lost some money because of the surplus of Halo reach legendary editions that are still in stores for discounted a discounted price. Best Buy literally still has a pyrimid stack of them in every local Best buy ive been to.
Statues collect dust, Helmets are cool, but also collect dust. Why complain about something as stupid as them not releasing a legendary edition if its clearly so they dont waste money in the long run? Just so you can own something that looks cool while it collects dust? Just get the game for the experience, enjoy it. They dont need to give us anything more than the game, so having a limited edition is still giving us more than we need.
Well, assuming that each map pack is $15 and you plan on buying all three, the $100 Limited Edition is already a good deal. While I don’t exactly believe in giving players an early advantage, It does save you money in the long run.
Dude, you get a 90 minute live action movie, you get to pay for the 3 map packs early on so you don’t have to dish out the money to buy later (which is more of a convenience thing more than anything else), an Infinity book filled with Halo lore along with. Plus a shiny steel-looking case. Much better than any statue or helmet replica that’ll just collect dust imo.
> > 90 minutes of “Foward Unto Dawn” and 3 FREE map packs with 3 maps each is enough for me.

> They aren’t free. You’re paying the extra 30 XD
Map pack usually cost 15 bucks each thats 45 buck plus 90 Min FuD which is about 15-25 bucks Plus Books and info 10 buck Game 60 bucks Avatar stuff 15
45+20+60+15 That comes to 140 $ and there charging 99.99 I say thats worth it
Most of the people creating these threads are hypocrites. Chances are most of them, if not all will buy the damn thing and are just complaining for the sake of it.
Halo 3’s LE was the best in my mind the helmet / I keep all my haloso in there
Reach’s I just put in my trash can and wasted $150
Halo 4’s sounds great and it saves me money / as I was ready to spend $150
99 is a great deal in my mind – although I wouldn’t mind a nameplate or flaming helmet thing but im still really happy with what 343i did offered the same amount of suff for cheaper.
Instead of a big, ugly and utterly pointless heap of plastic that no one cares about and that is far from collectible, you actually get something for your money.
You get Season Pass/3 DLC mappacks as a part of the deal, no more “Reach style” DLC problems, a somewhat big part of the community will have all maps and you get them, at no extra charge.
Not only that, you get the 90 minutes series, extended and everything, something you can enjoy and re-watch for decades if you wish, at no extra cost.
You even get a small something online, get a few free unlockables to “kick start” your carrier, no unfair advantages that people playing won’t have shortly, but if you can’t play 24/7, it sure is nice to get a head start.
although I am disappointed that there is no awesome Legendary edition with a awesome statue of some sort. I personally do not mind this limited edition it seems all worth it to me, and plus you could always but the new Master chief display figure from mcflarlan toys when they release. See aren’t we all happy now?
