I am disappointed.
All the hype has killed the game, as a long time halo fan I am furious, “if ur a true fan you will stick through it and play it!!!1!” No, I play games to enjoy them, I love halo as a whole but 5 is terrible, the campaign in well below average, multiplayer is boring, and all this forge hype has NOT lived up to anything it was meant to be, delaying forge for months and finally in comes out and it’s confusingly bad. Hunt The Truth was one of the best things I’ve ever heard in my life, it was better than the game IMO, I wish it continued to be honest. But anyway I am happy to get that off my chest, now we wait another 2/3 years for halo 6. F*ck 343. They ruined this game. Bungie all the way. All the fun playing this game as a kid and now it is bad. Thankyou. 343.

Forge is the best it’s ever been. Multiplayer is a blast though limited in content. Opinions.
im more addicted to this game than any halo before? And halo 2 was crack.
The campaign did suck for sure. It didn’t live up to the advertisement or Hunt the Truth. Here’s to hoping Halo 6’s story redeems Halo 5’s
I still play the multiplayer often, but to be honest, it gets old and boring really fast. Maybe it’s because of how I get the same gamemode and map like 5 times in a row. Maybe it’s because there aren’t any casual gamemodes besides BTB (honestly, when you see people saying they want to put together a Warzone team and win and when you see people get almost 100 kills in a Warzone game, it sucks the casual right out of it). I don’t know, just something about it doesn’t hold my interest for very long
The Forge is kinda confusing to me still, but this Forge has more possibilities than in any past Halo title. The problem is that with the lack of gametypes, primarily Infection, there aren’t that many good gametypes to make right now. Once Infection comes out, I think a lot more people will Forge and remake all those fun gametypes from past Halos like Halo, Duck Hunt, Cops n’ Robbers, and more
The state of Halo 5 right now is disappointing. I’m looking forward to finally having more playlists and gamemodes to play
Lol what are you talking about? I don’t forge but the community seems generally pretty happy about it. Halo 5 is the best multiplayer has been in some time. Needs more gamemodes but the acutaly gameplay is amazing!
Same here. I thought I buy the FPS King with Halo 5. My first Halo btw, after 20 years of playing fps on PC.
I still trying to find my grove but it doesn’t look good.
OP makes some valid points. Especially when it pertains to the campaign. every Halo game in years past had one thing in common, a great campaign and story. Halo 5’s campaign was so radically different (in a bad way, i.e. Fireteams with horrible AI, having Locke as the main character versus Chief) and the story so poorly implemented, 343i did give their fan base the shaft by releasing this.
For the life of me, I dont understand people who come onto this forum stating they think the campaign was good/enjoyable. It makes me wonder if they ever played through a full campaign before or simply claim they did and just jumped into multiplayer.
The game is great, I’m thoroughly enjoying it.

You’re right. Here we go again, and again and however many more times are necessary until Halo 6 is released. Some of us would like to make sure the mistakes 343i made with Guardians are not repeated in Halo 6.

I’m glad you’re enjoying youre enjoying it, I think some features of the game are a lot of fun as well. But overall, Halo 5 is about as far from greatness as you can get.

While I concur with your opinion regarding the campaign, I don’t agree with how you feel about MP. I love warzone and Arena. I can’t get enough of it. I’m not saying that it is perfect. In fact, it is far from it but I still enjoy playing it a lot.
OP has great points. Same reasons I went back to MCC and Reach, at least till more game modes come out. When you get the same game types and maps 5,6,7 times in a row everyday it tends to get stale.
As for the “getting old” responses… so is 343’s lack of content, horrible stories and continuous issues with there games. Issues as MCC still not working 3/4 the time, the issues wit DEDI Servers not working. So why is it fine for them and not for us to question it and want more out of H6?

Wrong, tons of people care. All the people who have left the game, all the people fighting for a decent game, and all the people who will be losing out on money come H6 when half the sales are not there.
