Disappointed with 343

I have been playing Halo since launch of Halo 2. I have been playing casually and competitively, I bought Xbox 360 and Xbox one specifically to play the halo franchise.
The disappointment in this launch does not cause rage but sadness. The game was launched incomplete, this is not a single patch fix. The amount of bugs and glitches in this game is enormous.
Tonight marks the ONE WEEK mark from launch. I am really disappointed with 343 and the lack of awareness of the wide amount of issues prior to launch.
I am the epitome of a halo fan and band wagoner, I have never switched to another shooter and at this point have pure apathy for this game and 343.
Halo 4 had issues at launch that killed the population and I really wished 343 had learned from that mistake. One week from launch and the game is only playable in Custom Games(Where teams randomize after each game, and game chat doesn’t allow all players on your team to hear each other) and campaigns(wide variety of issues).
I cannot believe its one week from launch and I can’t search with a team of 4 in matchmaking.
Congratulations 343 on the worst launch of any game on any console/pc. Looking forward to daily/weekly patches for the next six months before you give up and put all of your teams efforts into halo 5.
End Rant
tl;dr 343 has managed to ruin the halo population in two halo games back to back.

Wow. Just Wow Jolly Josh. have you heard of waiting for good stuff to happen? Do you know how big this game is?

there is about 6 engines inside one disc, which means there is 6 different code engines running on one disc. most games only have one and still have as many issues. all of this is in a 45 GB disc PLUS 15-20 GB download added to that. Thats just to start off. more then DeadRising 3, more them COD AW. and more then all of the Nintendo 64 games combined.

The bigger something is, the more easy it is for mistakes to be made. I am not saying the 343 is not at fault here because they even know they screwed up a little, but at less they are trying and talking to the community about the issues unlike bungie.

Speaking about bungie, don’t even say that bungie would do better at this game because bungie would even think about doing this. they never listen to there fan base, they never admit to mistakes, and they have never ever had a good story with a game, (see halo 3 and destiny for information about this.

343 is taking the reactive approach to this. because they were not able to take the proactive approach now and so far they are doing a damn good job. So if you don’t like it, get off of here because i am -Yoink- tired of all the -Yoink- and whining about this game. If you don’t like it, go back to COD, that is a game that does not take leaps to make the fans wowed, which appears is something you like.

Note: I am no longer disappointed of 343, but the Fanbase.

Yes, I know how big it is, and when I pay 60 dollars for a product that I have to beta test it is unacceptable. End of Story.
Bungie’s matchmaking system worked at launch for every game they released.
How were they not able to take a proactive approach, because they failed to test their game properly? Their fault not ours.
I am not asking to be WOW’ed I’m asking for a game that is playable out of the box.

Deal with it!

Things don’t always work out first time.
Thats life, deal with it.

Things don’t always work the first week.*

Agreed, this game is huge & my personal experiences so far (with improved match making) have given me some of the best gaming experiences i’ve had in a long time!

Patience is lacking in the community…

I think it has to deal with people that physically disciplining there children without some sort of lawsuit that could happen. My parents spanked me when I was a brat, and they put soap in my mouth when i was swearing. because of this I don’t act like half the hate rants on here because of it.

Wow Josh, thanks for the stunning revelation! I never thought about it that I too spent $60 on a game that is barely playable. I’m so glad you took the time to share your insight with the community. Your input is greatly appreciated. Perhaps you should send your resume to Microsoft as your fresh ideas on not shipping broken games should surely land you a job!

This is unrelated, but it’s honestly a shame that a lot of people resort to pain and discomfort to ‘discipline’ people. I haven’t been punished sense I was 3,(and that was simply due to extensive curiosity that caused me to mess around with certain objects), and I hadn’t done anything bad enough to warrant punishment sense then(I’m 15 now), so it’s safe to say in some(if not most cases), pain and discomfort is not a good discipline.
If anything, it does one of two(or both) things: Develop great fear in the person, or develop an extensive hatred. Never does these sorts of punishments explain why not to do stuff.
