I know it doesn’t seem like a big deal, but I’m confused why 343 choose to remove something that’s already been available and used by players for 2 games now just to lock it exclusively in a limited edition console it won’t help sell. I’m fine with exclusive content for the console, though the only people who are buying the console are typically those who need a new one or don’t have one, but I don’t understand why they’d take something players already had away to make it exclusive. Why not make a new, cool emblem for the console…that way you don’t upset anyone who’s used it for two games. I mean hell, I’d even buy it for like 180 points or something, though I doubt that is like to happen. It just saddens me

If you mean the howling wolf, like I use, it is exclusive, kind of. Closest thing I have seen to it is one of the Rouge emblems. Meaning you’ll have to hit level 50, and then pick Rouge, and then level that up until you get it … IF you have the limited edition.

I missed the Librarian emblem in Reach. Hopefully theres a Didact emblem. I like the forerunner symbols look.

Oh yeah, I saw that one, it’s kinda cool. I don’t mind them being unlocked at a certain rank, but to make it exclusive for a certain version of the game would be silly since it has been in previous games.
I still hope they have the original though.

That’s the thing. If you don’t have the LE, you’re going to have to wait until the Rouge Spec is made available to the rest of the players, when ever 343 unlocks it. I hope they have the original too. Right now that emblem is the only appeal Rouge has to me, and that is not enough of a reason to spec in it as soon as I can.

Very good point there about having to wait for 343i to unlock it. Well I hope that no other emblems have been closed out. 
I would even be okay with waiting to unlock it. I’d even be semi okay with a exclusives to the limited edition, which is at least much easier to obtain than the console. It’s just unfortunate that I’ll never be able to use my unicorn in Halo 4.
When you look at the 2 teams on the gameplay that is already out it shows the 2 teams with a wolf and a unicorn emblem and they look like the originals compared to the rouge and console emblems. I think there are 2 unicorn emblems and 2 wolf emblems
There are two unicorn emblems. The classic that has been in H3, ODST, and Reach which is already unlocked in the game. Then there is a new one were the unicorn is on its hind legs. 343 is trying to market to bronies.
Shield plus Phoenix needs to be default. That’s my stance on this.
But in all reality, I do agree there’s ways to do things and then there’s ways to mess with what is established. Given the circumstances, an emblem is secondary to what you can accomplish with the Halo experience so its ok if you need to reach certain areas to be rewarded with that symbol. It gives it more meaning.

- It’s Sweden not like they would put up much of a fight over it.
Well not to be too technical here… but the unicorn emblem we get with the console is different from the one in halo3. And it’s not like they wanted to ‘take it away’ from people, but it goes with the FOTUS armor, and 343i unicorn gag. I’m sure you’ll unlock an awesome emblem even if it’s down the road I wouldn’t get too sad over it. ~
One year later I still miss my Phoenix and Shield emblem from Halo CE - Reach and Im still sad about it. its like my identity i still use my short tag I used in CE LAN
I feel your pain because my fleur de lis is gone too but we should mourn in silence, not necropost threads.
