So I just experienced what it feels like to be placed in FOUR back to back slayer matches in a row, with one person dropping out within the first 3 minutes (two of them dropped out before the game even started). And what I noticed is, it freaking sucks.
I would love to see some sort of compensation for it, i.e. starting out with better weapons (a shottie in place of an assault rifle for example), increased armor, increased strength, or something else. Or at the very least, punish quitters more strictly than just a warning of “we’ll ban you if you quit too much”
I don’t think the diasvanteged team should be buffed for losing a player. Otherwise the emphasis of teamwork is thrown out the window. Playing with a man down does suck, but a complementary silver pack or post game reward is a better alternative than in game buff.
I disagree with buffing the team that has less players but I do think giving them a little more exp or RP than they would normally get at the end of the match would be fair.

Nope that would encourage more boosting and quitting. If you are rewarding players for bad behaviour there are those that will exploit it
Yeah I play solo a lot and it’s pretty depressing seeing 3 spartans in the intro screen. I thought reducing the loss penalty would be a good compromise. It sucks though.
I think the first person to quit should lose extra CSR (which I think happens already), and that amount is reduced on the rest of the players.
The whole rank ethic is based on W/L. You gain more against players with a higher rank, and lose more against players with a lower rank.
If this effect was softened somewhat so you don’t lose third of a rank everytime you lose a game with two or three players.
I would prefer it if the games were more evenly matched which might stop people leaving after getting matched with unranked players who go 1-10 in the first two minutes.
I thought the whole point was to play players within your rank. Not two levels above or below. I’m guessing there aren’t enough players for this to match make quickly enough, and you’ll be sat around for five minutes inbetween games waiting for a whole Platinum game to start.

I can imagine that would be easily abused. 4 people in a party join a game and have one or more quit out, giving the others the complimentary items, then re-join and do it again, rotating which players quit out and racking up goods.
