It’s probably too late now, but I’ve always wondered why the Plasma Pistol couldn’t disable Armor Abilities? Seems like it would’ve been a good way to counter Armor Abilities. Can’t run away if you can’t Sprint. Can’t use Armor Lock if it’s turned off. And so on.
That would be cool and give the once mighty plasma pistol some of its thrust back which it seems to have lost. Im not sure 343 could do that but it would be cool to try a game like that out.

Maybe for just AL or something, but for ALL AA’s it would have made the PP far too strong. You would see everyone running around with an overcharged plasma pistol at all times, and then everyone would be complaining there were too few on the map. Such a change would drastically reduce the AA gameplay as a whole. while I believe AA’s ruin the game in the first place, such a change would destroy the game.
edit: as a custom option, maybe, but definitley not an All-matchmaking type of deal.

Once again AL has to be the stepson of the family?
Thats a great idea, not only would it give some purpose back the plasma pistol, but would also make a bit of a challenge for players out there. But i disagree that it should disable ALL armour abilities, i would think it should be used more for only disabling armour locked people and drop shields, otherwise you’ll see people everywhere using the pistol, and then it could possibly gain the reputation the Mp40 had in call of duty world at war

How is that fair? If it disables one it should disable all.
To me, Armor Abilities are a risk-reward. If you Sprint, you can move fast yet can’t shoot. If you Jetpack, you can go higher, but become a huge target and if you miss can take fall damage. Frankly, the potential for them to be deactivated seems to be a necessary additional risk to me.

That’s a very good point. Although I don’t think It would “turn off” armour lock rather burst the protective shield once activated.
