Disable/Enable Team Colors (Player'sChoice)

I understand that in Match Making the Team Colos of Red Team VS Blue Team are Iconic but me personally I’m tired of customization only for most of my gameplay experiences being either Red or Blue.

Considering how H5 is being develop for the fans or at least fans have a lot of input in to the game, how about we the players get to choose through “Display Settings” in the game to disable Team Colors to allow all players in the team to show up with the colors that Players have chooosen for their Spartans.

The game by Default should have Team Colors enabled but if anyone person wants to see Spartans in game to show up with their own colors we should have a Out Of The Way option for doing so. I don’t want to take away anything from all players, I simply wish to add something that can add more for the person playing while never hindering any kind of the game for Everyone else.

Perhaps in the addition of this special setting under “Display Settings, or Display & Sound” In Game, you could also take the chance to add “Color Blind” settings for those who can’t see the colors Red and Blue.

I don’t know guys, I have presented this Idea once before during the Reach Days and I got a bunch of (Sorry to say) Ignorant responses from people saying how would they know who is on the same team, But considering the big baby blue Nav points on team mate heads, I really couldn’t understand how anyone couldn’t tell who is on the same team.

“Color Blind, Enable/Disable Team Colors” should be Universal in their setting but also something that shouldnt hurt or alter the experience for anyone or everyone else who DOES want Red Vs Blue.

I’ve been playing Halo since Halo since 2001 and Online since 2006 but even as a long term Halo fan I still hunger for more than Red VS Blue especially with the amount of personalization. I hope 343i can find this worth experimenting with.

As much as I like the idea of keeping our own colours, I’d rather not be accidentally betrayed because one of my teammates opted not to use the red/blue setting.

Sure, the waypoint’ll help, but considering how fast paced Halo 5 is, I’m not overly convinced it won’t increase accidental betrayals.

I agree so much.

I agree, but I think in order to differentiate between teams, there should be waypoints above allies at all times.

As In The Beta, Friendly Fire Is Off In Halo 5…

Guys I truely appreciate the responses, but these are the same issues I had when I brought up this idea that first go around, Your responses are more in line with people who haven’t played Halo than people who have played Halo and Already KNOW that Nav Points on team mates NEVER go away.

Plus the person Opting to have Team Colors disabled would already have the mind set that he or she cannot see their Team Red or Blue and would subconsciously pay attention to the Big Baby Blue Nav Points. But perhaps we can bring back that Stripe from Halo 3 that never changed colors no matter the Team you’re in, But reverse it to where it becomes Team colors And Perhaps make it a Stripe of Light so that at a quick glance you see a blue Stripe of light around a Spartans arm and know that is your teammate.

Halo has the Team Colors on the HUD along with the score and the team your in. We already have Soo much information that tells us what and who is on Teams that we don’t need to be forced to Blue or Red Team not to mention that the Reticle only goes red when lookin at a Enemy.

Destiny has already shown us that this idea can work. . No I don’t want to turn Halo to Destiny, but seeing in practice what I wanted in Halo for years has made me envious plus my idea doesn’t effect anyone who dowsnt want it.

I.don’t want hidden features hindered by those who don’t understand the idea or can forsee how things will turn out. But life isn’t fair so I woulsnt be surprised if what I’m suggesting bver gets used.

Why not have name plates that indicate what team you’re on. Blue name plate and red name plates floating above what ever team you’re on head. Then if you want it like a matchmaking option whether players want to be the uniform blue and red/ or their own color have a check box for which one. Gears does this well with their map options.

The “H5G is CoD” guys should be fighting on this one since CoD was the first to have opposing teams not be absolutely clear as day Red Vs Blue and instead have generic army guys on both teams so you can’t identify friend or foe. I would have to agree with those guys for once since anything other than RVB is going to be a complete mess to manage on the technical and player side.

Why can’t red and blue be the secondary color and so the primary one is the original?
red v blue is too iconic to screw it, but it can be modernized a bit. Some red or blue lines on the armor are more than enough, considered that most fps don’t have significative aesthetic difference between allies and enemies.
