I wonder if it’s going to be an open world of exploration and quests.
It would be cool if we could ride some of the animals and install guns on them and have war paint on them.
Would be awesome to ride into a horde of flood in a flood firefight on a prehistoric rhino with a flamethrower. Epic.
Could be pretty cool. I think the amount of alteration that would be needed to the basic Halo formula to make all that work could really mess with the balance and pacing of the game, which is part of the reason I’m personally in the camp of hoping Infinite keeps to a more conventional/semi-linear format for its campaign. But I’m down to try whatever 343i does with this game, and judge it on its own merit when it releases.
I really do hope it’s open world with a home base you can collect missions from.

Riding animals as the chief … when he weighs 1000lbs?? Marines sure.
The rhino with the flamethrower would be nice but at that point the animal is just a vehicle like the Warthog, and not like an actual animal that would be afraid of fire going across its face constantly.
Open world, keep like CE, or go with that leak back in 2015 of using a personal pelican where you can change your vehicle and weapons.
