Digital Refund - Thanks MS.

Got my digital refund so I’ll get a disc copy for cheaper so I at least feel like I got some compensation for this BS!

How did you get one ? do you live in the states ?

Cheaper with a hard copy you wont be saving much at all lol seriously some people…

UK my friend. I went on live chat and they told me to contact Activision (LOL)? Magically they got an update and were able to give me a refund.

£12 cheaper - about $20 cheaper at my local store. I’d do that for a 5 minute walk.

I just called to get a refund and after being on hold for over an hour I was told refunds weren’t being given. What did you say/do to get your refund ?

It really depends on where you live.
In Australia and the UK (probably a few other places as well) it is against consumer law, and therefore illegal, to refuse a refund for a product that is faulty. It makes no difference if it was in a store or if it was a digital purchase. It also makes no difference whether the store from which you bought it has some kind of “No refunds” policy as, like I said earlier, it is against the law for them to refuse. The Australian government recently took Valve to court over their no refunds policy on steam for this very reason. Now, in Australia, you can get refunds on digital products from Steam if they are faulty and don’t work as advertised.
So if you live in Australia or the UK ring them back and, if they refuse, politely remind them that they are breaking the law by doing so. If you live elsewhere, you might want to check out consumer laws in your own country first.

Lol yes, the game has so many issues it’s not worth my money in its current state. Ignoring the match making issues halo 1 multiplayer froze and crashed 3 times in 1 night on me. Not to mention issues in single player games and achievements. I too got a refund from Microsoft here in Canada.

They’re releasing another patch soon, but there’s no guarantee that it’s actually going to be fixed soon. It could be 3 or 4 days, 3 or 4 months, and possible even longer than that.
If somebody feels the need to get their money back so that they can buy a different game that actually works while the game currently doesn’t work as advertised, and then buys a pre-owned copy of the game at a later date to save some money, then that’s their right to be able to do so.

but what if they want you here?

they refund you for buying the game, but you dont get it back on your credit card it goes to your xbox account

Might I ask; what does you getting a refund have to do with bug reporting? Last time I checked the other MCC forum was the new place to post non-constructive threads, not one meant for reporting issues that 343 need to fix.
