So basically I went to pre-order halo 5 and this time I went with digital as it honestly is more convinient for me. I had a look and saw the digital deluxe edition and I do want to buy the special edition as I am a big halo fan but i’m just wondering whether it is worth the extra money, it seems to mainly be dlc and the animated series.

In my opinion, no. The story of Reach has already been told and retold to death; and the animated series will likely be available for free on Halo Channel after some time. The bonus multiplayer content doesn’t sound worth it.
Save $30 and just preorder the standard edition.
Depends on how the pricing structure is for the req packs. If you’re getting a good deal for getting them with the deluxe, then it may be worth it. However, the animated series you’ll be able to find elsewhere for probably cheaper, if not free.

I, personally, am not interested in purchasing ANY req packs. So no, not worth it for me.
I do want that statue though lol. So I am getting the $250 edition.

Yeah, I am mainly in it for campaign so standard edition seems like the best option for me and can probably pick up the blu ray of animated series like with nightfall and forward unto dawn.

Agreed, thank you Webb.
On topic, I would find the deluxe edition to be more enjoyable than the standard version. I will want to watch the Reach animated series as early as possible, even if the story has kind of, as Webb said, been told enough times already. A game, book, and graphic novel were enough for me, but an animated series won’t kill me so I will enjoy it.
I would have pre ordered the digital version right away but honestly I have no idea what I’m supposed to be getting for my extra 30 dollars besides access to the animated story of reach. Not sure I really care too much about that and I have no idea what these req packs are supposed to provide.
Just the basic version for me. Quite ironically, the only special edition of any Halo game I’ve gotten has been Halo Wars.
Deluxe for me (From LCE). Should be worth it if I like Warzone. I’ll take a chance on the small price increase rather than regret it. I want the best version digital has to offer.
It’s funny that I want the digital version of the game and because I intend to get a potentially expensive peripheral at a later date, I am opting out of the LCE…
So I want digital, and low and behold… Digital Deluxe 
To me ― yes. However the more rational person would say no. Save your $30 or just order the physical LE.
Honestly though, all of the games on the MS and Sony store are like $10 - $20 more than they should be anyway.
