This game keeps getting worse and worse. Upon the original installation, every time I would turn on my Xbox it would say “installation stopped” and it was Halo not finishing. I click on it and it says I must insert the disc to continue installing. The disc. I repeat, the disc. Let me say that one more time in case you didn’t catch that- THE DISC ON A -Yoink!- DIGITAL PRE-ORDER COPY—what the hell is this?
Previously, I was able to get online and play some campaign and multiplayer without a problem. At first, I was actually just split screening with a friend on his because I let another one borrow my Xbox One for a few months because I was too busy with work to play. Then I got it back a few days ago. I had no problems playing on his, and then I was previously able to at least get on and play those heavily restricted playlists for multiplayer. However I just got on again today and downloaded the update, and went to play multiplayer. It shows my “installation progress”, and has Halo CE, Halo 3, Halo 4, and Nightfall as being 100% done. Then Halo 2 anniversary is 13% done, and on the bottom a “total progress” bar shows it being a little over half way done. This is just limited. And I can’t go any further until I have a -Yoink!- disc? For downloading the “HALO: THE MASTER CHIEF COLLECTION BOOM SKULL PRE-ORDER OFFER”?!?!?! Seriously how does a game’s launch fail this -Yoink!- miserably?! I’ve never seen something this poorly in my life. I paid $60 for a game I can’t even -Yoinking!- play. Screw this -Yoink-.
