Differing opinions

Alright, I’m making this up as I go along, and I didn’t spend very long making this, so I’ll try to be as concise, to the point and clear as possible.

Since the dawn of Xbox Live, there has been an argument between fanboys of different first person shooters.
Call of Duty, Halo, and others, but more often than not it’s between the more in your face Halo and CoD franchises.

Halo was first out with it’s release of Halo: Combat Evolved, and was the flagship game for Xbox, the original.
Since it’s release, Halo 2 was a dominator on the Xbox Live, and maintained a following for nearly 6 years. It’s been respawned in Halo 2 Anniversary, and even Halo 2 Vista. With the addition of dual wielding, lobbies, party chat, etc it was a fantastic lure for all of the video gaming community, pro and noob alike.

Call of Duty started on the PC, so it had a fanbase LONG before arriving on Xbox, or Playstation, but considering it is a multiplatform game, it really shouldn’t even have a competition in terms of fanbase. The first game that was on Xbox Live, was ‘Finest hour’ and wasn’t released until 5 days after Halo 2.

Halo has been a massive part of Xbox, and will continue to be.

Each franchise has their positives, their negatives, and their fanbases.
Both have borrowed, or used traits/additions from either game, and none of the uses have really KILLED the game. It’s a learning curve to see what works where, and Halo 5 is shaping up to be amazing.

So, let’s give credit where credit is due, stop bringing up Call of Duty as some sort of crap that Halo is aiming for. Because it’s not. Halo has been fantastic, and will continue to be, let Call of Duty be their own franchise, and Halo be it’s own.

Halo was first, and is first in my heart. And will always be. I love you Halo, come to bed with me.

TL;DR
CoD and Halo are different, stop comparing them. I love Halo.

Also, this.
