So a thought occured to me regarding the unveiled multiplayer.
The singleplayer will more likely feature some sqaud based combat, hopefully with commands for your squad.
What if 343 are experimenting with it for multiplayer BTB? You get assigned three other spartans you have command over which assist you. If you die you take controll of one of them until you respawn or die with the one you’re controlling.
Cloud computing for AI could be used and there are algorithms which can observe and learn, those could be used to mimic the player’s behaviour so that the squad starts doing the same things as the player would and with some skill accuracy. Then you could also issue commands like in single player.
I am not suggesting this idea, it’s just something thar occured to me. Frankly it does sound a little intruiging.
The fact that H5 did not have a BTB beta is not a good sign at all. There is a very high chance of TMCC BTB all over again. TMCC and H5 are both their new attempt on the new console, and clearly they are struggling. Really not a good sign. Especially since dedicated servers are pretty much non existent in TMCC.

There are different teams working on Halo 5 and MCC. I wouldn’t be worried.

TMCC has problems because it is four games in one. Neither of which was built with dedicated servers in mind.
I don’t think Halo 5 will have the same issues as it is built for dedicated servers and it’s a single game.
That they didn’t have a BTB beta might be because it’s so special they want to keep it a secret for a while.

The Halo 5 beta had a LOT of similar problems to TMCC. They are clearly struggling with dedicated servers on the X1 especially with Halo. The lack of a BTB beta is quite troubling.
You said AI in BTB? Sounds familiar. I think this would placate a lot of the community’s whimsies about 16v16 BTB or 32v32 BTB or some mad numbers like those.
