I know that Forge won’t be there at the start of Infinite’s release, but I did have an opinion on how they could improve the Forge experience for newcomers and veterans to forge alike. The basics of the idea is that there would be 3 modes for forge you can toggle before going in. The first one would be an Intro to Forge mode where there’s a bunch of prefab structures, weapon placements, and scripts for garage doors and such. For those that can’t seem to get things attached to where they want them, certain structures could clip into place perfectly. And if something won’t clip into place without merging into something else, you’d get some sort of warning. This would help those that are just getting into Forge see what’s possible and make it easier on them to start off incase it’s something they’re really interested in. The second mode for Forge would be like what we’ve seen in Halo 3 through Reach, where there are a couple prefab buildings you can use, but they’re things like bunkers and smaller structures. In this mode you’d be able to toggle whether structures or items clip into place, but you could also place parts in manually. This mode would help those that could not get into Halo 5’s forge at all, but were good with the forge from previous games. Then the last mode would be like what we see in Halo 5, and possibly a little more advanced. This forge mode would be for those that want to make everything on their own with the only prefabs being what they have saved and what the community has made. This mode would allow you to make very fine tunes to a forge map, allow more advanced scripts, and more.
That’s a fantastic suggestion.

Not gonna lie, I thought people would yell at me and tell me I’m wrong for suggesting this, lol.
It is a good proposal, the truth is that I sometimes liked to use Forge in H3 and Reach. In Halo 5 I found it interesting but confusing.
I would also like that the textures of floors and walls aren’t so plastic, as in Halo 5.

Halo 5’s forge was really confusing for me too. When I did a lot of clanning, I had to have friends help me make and script what I wanted most of the time. But in Halo Reach, I made a decent custom Invasion map in a week flat.
That will be amazing, it will be a reason for new player to get a friendly approach to the forge world which can be overwhelming
