So We know that there’s a standard, limited and collectors edition of guardians. But is there an even bigger legendary edition? Also what exactly comes with the different editions? Is there going to be a Guardians edition of the Xbox 1. With controllers ect.im struggling to keep up at the moment but I’d really appreciate help from you guys on this matter.
Editions that have been announced thus far are:
Standard Edition - $60 USD
Limited Edition - $100 USD
Limited Collector’s Edition - $250 USD
Limited Console Edition - $??? USD
The contents of the Limited Edition are currently unknown. The description we’ve been given is: “standard edition contents, steel book (case), and extra digital content”
The contents of the Limited Collector’s Edition are even more mysterious, boasting: “all the contents of the standard and limited editions, plus even more digital content, a limited edition statue designed by 343, and ‘more’”.
The console edition will not include everything in the Limited Collector’s Edition, but will most likely have the same “extra digital content” as the Limited Edition, and of course the console itself.
I wouldn’t plan on any further editions being announced. As of now, it’s just a waiting game to see what all this “extra content” is.
No word yet on the console, but I have been thinking we are almost 100% going to get a Halo XB1 console this fall.
For reference, the Halo 4 console was announced in mid-July (Comic Con San Diego) for an early-November release date. I would probably expect similar for this announcement.
Personally, I’m at least hoping for a Halo-themed controller for XB1.

Also, the Microsoft Store says:
“A premium edition of Halo 5: Guardians for collectors and Halo fans alike. The Limited Collector’s Edition* contains the Limited Edition game as well as additional content including a commemorative statue designed by 343 Industries.”
Yeah. I don’t have too much to add to the abouve. The UK prices are as follows
Standard Edition £45
Limited Edition £80
Collectors Edition £200
I have no idea what the additional content will be. Possibly armour, maps or online game modes.
As as for the Xbox 1 itself. That is most likely going to happen. It would be a wasted opportunity for Microsoft if they didn’t. Besides there is a witchers version being released now and Guardians will be way bigger so I’m expecting an Xbox 1 to be released. However controller ect I’m not as confident about. I would absolutely love it if they did though.
