Does anyone else think there will be any other campaign maps or is there only the one we’ve seen? I think there’s going to be a few different maps set on different parts of the ring but I don’t want to get my hopes up
Everybody and their dog is making massive speculations… 343i seemingly are intentionally leaving out spoilers so I imagine that you will not know until release day.
I personally adore the setting of CE (pacific northwest) so I’m happy, but we’ll know everything December 8th.

Same here, everything looks flawless but I’m worried about us only getting one area
They’ve confirmed “sub-biomes” in a Q&A like 10 months ago. I’ll look for the video. We’ll be in the “Pacific Northwest” for the foreseeable future.
I would hope sub biomes would include snow areas at least. I think pure summer Pacific Northwest will get boring.

Hopefully we’ll get some in a DLC down the road or something. I doubt they’re gonna leave us with just the base campaign for 10 years. Maybe we’ll even leave Zeta Halo have some missions on different planets or onboard space station or something. ODST was the only game that had “one biome” and even it let us explore a subterranean computer complex, traverse skyscrapers and even rampage through a z– excuse me… A cooperate funded wildlife reserve.
343’s tripping if they think they can leave us in some trees and hills for 10 years. What we’ve seen so far is sick, and hopefully they spice it up.

I thought they said there would be some different biomes with swamps etc? If they are going a ce route there needs to be some snowy areas and swamp areas. Maybe even dessert areas. I hope they have them or at least have plans on dlc

I imagine those will be biomes added to the campaign with further additions. Dynamic weather would be sick too.
Current confirmed biomes (There are supposed to be 7 in total)
Pacific Northwest (main biome)
Sub Biomes -
Wetlands
War torn areas known as the deadlands
(The rest are currently unknown)
There has also been talk about the dynamic weather that rain / snow storms could come post launch, on top of the current wind / fog already confirmed.
With the day / night cycle and if or when more dynamic weather get’s added to Infinite, it should give enough variant to biomes.
And of course dlc can bring in new biomes etc
I do share this slight worry that we’ve already seen the entire playable area of the game (but I know that I should reserve judgment here). As an example I feel like i could see the same banished “fort” but from different angles from the cutscenes and on the map, of which i thought would be more of. I don’t think 343 is incompetent, I just hope the’ve really tried to make the world feel rich and varied enough (even with future DLC plans) during these 4-6 years of development. I really want them to succeed on this, I want my non-halo friends to love it as much as I have since I was a kid!

I think it’s being discussed because it’s a big disappointment/concern for many people.
Don’t get me wrong, it seems like there is a lot of great stuff in the game, and I’m somewhat looking forwards to it, but having multiple biomes shouldn’t even be a question, it’s 2021. Halo games have always had a variety of interesting biomes, and all I can do is hope that there is a big reveal of a new location halfway through the game. I mean hell, they already designed the desert assets for multiplayer.
Personally I’m still holding off from spending money on the campaign at launch.

Yeah but can we honestly believe them? After years of “no mcc is not coming to pc” and then boom it does. Their track record of lies and truths is sketchy at best.
Who knows what maps will be in the campaign…and what is to come post launch.

I believe it was in the Zeta Halo inside infinite, either in the blog or the Q&A video, unsure which. There’ll be “sub-biomes”, but I think we’ve seen the extent of how much that’ll vary the environment from the trailer. You had the wide open plains type area, the wetter, almost swampy area near where the original demo took place and more mountainous areas. But don’t expect any kind of rainforest/tropical forest, desert or full snow biomes, maybe some snow capped mountaintops at most for snow.
