Difference between Warzone loadout weapons

Does anyone have a solid breakdown of the differences between the ridiculous number of Warzone loadout weapons? Like, regular v recon v sentinel v longshot v projection etc (yes I know not all of those are available on each weapon). There are so many, and I can’t really tell the differences. Also, some do more damage to vehicles, while others are more accurate, while others don’t show up on radar? Still not even sure what that means, if you are moving you will be on radar regardless, correct?

Just trying to figure out which weapons I should be selecting. I have quite a few unlocked, but want it optimized.

Thanks!

For AR
Standard scope is just that. Standard
Recon zooms in a little more
Longshot zooms in a lot.
BR and DMR
Standard, is standard
I don’t know the difference between classic and longshot (they seem similar, except you can see outside the scope with classic)
and sentinel has two levels of zoom, and is thus the best
Kinetic bolts does more knockback and damage to vehicles
Stabilizers reduce recoil
suppressor does not show up on map when firing (unless moving, you show up on radar when firing, even if standing still without the suppressor)
laser sight increases accuracy (allegedly, I can’t see a difference)
Long barrel increases range and accuracy at range.
Bayonet is one hit melee kill (doesn’t apply to spartan charge)
Hope this helps and feel free to add to or correct this.

You can get a description from REQs section in the games main menu. Shows you every weapon and it’s description.

Thanks! I actually didn’t know the sentinel zoomed twice… oops. I didn’t know the silenced ones wouldn’t appear when still, that actually sounds useful. Good info.

Well aware, however the info doesn’t necessarily explain everything.

I just use the standard stuff for the most part, the only exception is that I use a suppressed BR.

I start with sentinal BR, but I usually switch to kinetic bolts version of everything because I farm commendation and need vehicle kills. And then DMR at 6. Recon or ranged, depending on the situation.

Recon is the BR scope.
Longshot is the DMR scope.
Sentinel is like a sniper scope because it has 2 zooms.
Projection sight is default on AR and an upgrade for SMG, though honestly I think it sucks for the SMG.
Kinetic bolts have stopping power (ie. will slow down the target) and do more damage to vehicles.
Silencer stops you from showing up on radar when shooting, and makes it harder to tell where you are shooting at medium-long range (even if you have 7.1 headset).
Stabilizers basically eliminate recoil.
Long barrel extends the range of your weapon.
Laser sight makes your weapon more accurate.
Bayonet is basically a sword on your gun (OHK melee, more lunge, but no speed boost like a sword).

IMO the best overall is the silencer since most people rely heavily on radar. Stabilizer AR is really good too because you can just spray’n’pray without recoil, but it’s useless on everything else. Long barrel is really nice on Longshot BR, it’s basically almost a DMR at that point. Don’t have many DMR’s, but I think silenced is the best. For SMG I generally go with kinetic bolts and use it against vehicles mostly.

I think I like the H4 weapon load out system better then H5. I agree. To many choices. IMHO I wish it was one of each weapon, but with customization. Better scope, silencer, stabilization, etc. Having the ability to set up your different load outs pre-game and select different during a match was simpler. Yes it’s happened to me. Taking to long at a req station and dying. Wish the sensors were visible so you could at least be aware of what was happening.

Bayonet is not always a one hit kill. I know that from experience. Even my legendary Bayonetted projection SMG doesnt always kill them in one melee (though usually it only takes about one bullet to finish the job, but i HAVE been killed before due to the not realizing they weren’t dead right away). Usually a one hit, just not always. Also, the sentinel being the best could be argued. Personally I don’t like that much zoom on a non sniper rifle weapon. It is just too much unless I actually have a sniper rifle. Just personal preference however.

Should be; unless the have an over shield.

Nah, still doesn’t OHK all the time. Trust me, it is confusing as hell when it happens. I run up and swat them with the thing and then they back off and start shooting me. The times it happens anyway. It might be the increased shield armor mod, but I don’t know for sure. That is the only mod I have unlocked and it doesn’t seem to do diddly.

is is just me or does the glare from the scope on the sentinel make it nearly impossible to use at long range in some areas.

They are using the shield buff perk. It’s a OHK otherwise.

Not sure about Sentinel, but the Longshot sight definitely seems to wash everything out in some areas, making it hard to pick out distant targets.

Sentinel Battle Rifles are awesome. There is some pretty bad glare at times, but the x8 zoom is worth it. I would only trade it for a sniper rifle or other similar precision weapon. It beats out the DMR, even. I have one with an extended barrel and I can “pwn” some “nubz” from “grannysville” with it. [/hiplingo]

Kinetic bolt AR/SMGs are my favorite thing to use, because it seems like they do a few bullets extra damage over the course of the mag, and that can mean all the difference sometimes, especially if they boost-juke you and you lose a couple of rounds to getting back on target.

The laser-sight and stabilizers don’t seem to be significant. The suppressors may or may not work well, but in conjunction with the advanced motion tracker armor mod, make you near invisible to radar junkies, so long as you don’t sprint.

After unlocking a few more and playing around a little bit, I think the stabilizer is absolutely awesome. I was able to get a kill from a medium distance on a wraith with an SMG, just aimed at the center and held the trigger (obviously other teammates were also firing). But I do love the kinetic bolts. I haven;t had a chance to try the suppressors yet… I am starting to wish regular matches either went on longer, or I could level up faster to get more time to try out some of the different loadout weapons. Oh well.
