Difference between Mark VI and Mark VI (Gen 1)

Seriously, I see no between the Mark VI and Mark VI (Gen 1). Can somebody please tell me what makes one legendary and the other ultra rare?

Really? There is a major difference. The only thing that’s remotely the same about the 2 in Halo 5 is the under suit. Go watch some of the Halo Wars cutscenes with Red Team in them, then you’ll see a difference a bit better.

The aesthetics are a bit different in terms of color (darker for one). Also, the differences are mainly in the actual body armor, such as the thruster packs.
The space diaper is different too.

There is basically no difference and certainly nothing you would notice in a match.

Gen 1 has the space diaper, gen 2 has the same waist as every other H5 armor. The lights on the chest are also in different places.

That’s pretty much it.

Crap man, sorry. With all the people talking about Mk IV yesterday and today I saw it as that… my bad.

Cod piece man, cod piece. GEN 1 body is remiscient of Halo 3 style armor as opposed to GEN 2. The helmets are virtually the same.

There is a few differences i’ve noticed, here they are…

Helmet

  • The peice that is infront of your Spartans mouth is slightly different on the Mark VI helmet

  • The lights on the Mark VI helmet are actually on

  • There is no secondary colour on the top part of the Mark VI (default skin) unlike the Mark VI [Gen 1]

  • The Mark VI helmet actually has different shades of colours to use (theres only a few armour sets that can do this)

Armour

  • The chest peice is slightly different in design on the Mark VI

  • The crotch peices on the Mark VI [Gen 1] are designed more to the classic “belt” the Spartan had, while the Mark VI only has the small peice.

  • The Mark VI armour has different shades of colours, just like the helmet.
    So over all they’re not massive difference between the two sets, but only slight ones. This is because the Mark VI {Gen 1] is the look like the classic armour (Halo 2 / Halo 3) and the Mark VI is just the classic armour slightly tweaked to suit the Spartan IV design.
