Difference between discs?

I know there are 2 discs in Halo 4, but why are there 2?

One contains campaign, one contains multiplayer. You are able to download the multiplayer disk to your hard drive, allowing you to access all of the features on one disk.

From what I’ve heard, yes.

You use other disc to install multiplayer I believe, and then you use just disc one, for both campaign and multiplayer.

You have to install the second disc which contains all the multiplayer content, and then you launch everything from disk one.
