I easily get between 2:1 and 3:1 KDR on Console. The pistol and BR just seem to work magically with little effort.
I’m lucky if I get 1:1 KDR on PC. Usually more like 0.5:1. Using any weapon is just HARD, and I struggle to get headshots.
The Aim Assist is so dramatic on Console.
However, when I play on console, the game feel so sluggish and delayed. The frame rates sucks. Input lag sucks. That’s why I prefer to play on PC. But I feel like I’m being punished when I play on PC.

I don’t think there are many that will agree with you. The input is pretty bad on both controller and MKB, but the aim assist is almost non-existent (especially for the pistol at mid range and the sniper at any range).

I just did a back-to-back game on PC, then to Console. Aim Assist is HUGE on console (with controller, obviously). People that say Aim Assist is “almost non-existent” haven’t played on PC, where it is non-existent.

That’s kind of my point. Aim Assist is “almost” non-existent on controller, and completely non-existent for MKB. However, the slight aim-assist on controller fails to compensate for the natural advantages of MKB.
Controller aim assist on MCC was too great and put MKB players at a disadvantage. Now the aim assist is too low in Infinite and puts MKB players at an advantage (IMO).

Are you playing on the original xbox one? if so then yeah, it’s like 7 or 8 years old now so it probably won’t perform as well as a newer PC, not really surprising. Otherwies if you’re on Xbox One X or the Series consoles then go into your settings and turn the graphics mode to performance to get 60fps.
I play on both PC and Xbox One X and both of them feel completely fine. Performance feels the same when they are both locked to 60fps.
Also the controller aiming feels completely fine. The aim assist is definitely there and I can even feel the difference in aim assist between the BR and Commando. If you’re having issues with your controller aim then maybe you just messed up your controller settings with some weird values.

I don’t agree with this at all. I play on controller and am regularly getting a higher accuracy than my friends who use MKB. Have you actually played in a fireteam with people on MKB to compare your accuracy? If so then what is the average percentage difference? If not then you are just making assumptions about what people are using to make yourself feel better about being outplayed.
That’s what I’m saying. Controller Aim Assist is big. It helps a TON. I’m much much much better using Controller after 20 minutes of play, versus 10+ hours using KBM.
If you are actually comparing the aim assist on console to PC when both are using controller, and you feel like there’s less aim assist on the PC with controller, then you probably need to check your settings. Make sure your settings are the same on both console and PC. if the aim assist still feels different then unfortunately you might have a problem with your PC.
I play on both PC and Xbox One X using controller on both, and they feel exactly the same to me. Performance also feels the same between both platforms, the only difference is my TV looks better than my PC monitor.

So maybe you’re just better on controller than MKB? I don’t think the difference is huge and actually between me and my friends the accuracy difference is usually around 3-4%, but then some of my controller friends also have worse accuracy than the KBM ones. I think though, that 343i probably has way more data on accuracy between KBM and controller players. They have literally hundreds of thousands of samples. So they probably have a much better idea of how it should be than we do.
Yep. Just tried a game on my series x and not only is the aim assist on controller stronger but you get the nice red cursor when you are in firing range. My series X and PC have the elite controller plugged in and using Ethernet. PC is a 10700k, 3080 and 32gb ram.

Either your settings are not the same across xbox and PC or it’s a bug. Or you have a frame rate issue on PC. both console and PC feel exactly the same on controller to me, so if you think it’s a bug then submit a ticket.
What are you talking about infinites aim assist is practically nonexistent
Not when you go from Infinite PC (KBM), to Console. It’s HUGE.
Aim assist SHOULD be non-existent on MKB since you don’t need it. Aim assist for controller is fine the way it is (rather weak honestly).

This is absolutely not true and it kind of is needed. As someone with a 2.5+ K/D in various shooters the TTK is brutal for M/KB players. With lower TTK games you only have to be precise for so long. With Infinite it takes forever. I didn’t get a single kill in BTB from med to long range with a BR on my KB/M. I switched to controller it was much easier. The only downside to the controller was turning on someone shooting you from behind.
If you are a god tier pro at aiming like professionals yea KB / M is going to dominate most of the time. But there is a reason a lot of streamers are using controllers.
I agree the BR is actually pretty balanced between MKB/controller, both take skill. Sniper etc are different story.
Look at the rest of the feedback btw, most people are crying about MKB advantage in socials. And you have a controller, just join us as part of the controller master race - problem solved lol.
My guess as well. I’m a PC player who uses only controller. I stink with M/KB and don’t enjoy using it. M/KB is for work… controller is for gaming.

The controller players who are complaining about M/KB haven’t used M/KB. It is jarring how bad it feels in comparison to controller.
And this is coming from someone who only uses M/KB for FPS games.
Well I use both and had no issue with either, maybe you just need to tweak your settings or something idk.
Though I’ve long been of the opinion that -outside of professional play- controller is the superior input option for Halo games, something about the game flow just makes it feel more natural (and I feel completly the other way about BF for example).
This is what I am getting at though. For 99% of players the controller is better. Those saying the aim assist its dreadful, have not tried to BR someone from medium to long range with a mouse.
