Didn't receive my Halo 4 pre-order content

I just barely got off the phone and they redirected me here to contact you.

I pre-ordered Halo 4 on the 10th of July from best buy and they gave me the SKU number of: 2903667 and all I got was a lithograph poster. I just recently found out I was also supposed to have a in-game content exclusive(s). I am quite frustrated with this. I was also informed by the employee of microsoft that this was “only a manufacturer error”.

It was on your receipt, 343 cant do anything.

It was there fault for the “manufacturer” error, not the stores fault.

Preorder content was provided by the store you bought it from and, as goobot pointed out, was on the receipts.

Unfortunately, at this point, you are out of luck. Sorry. :frowning:

Again this was a manufactuerer error, the box and its contents were not processed by the store.

The preorder items were handled by the store, not the manufacturer. I’m not exactly sure how you are understanding this to be a 343 issue when you should have gotten your preorder items from Best Buy themselves.

If you’re referring to the Specializations, that’s a whole other issue.

Just because you can only get a certain object from a certain store does not mean the processed it. It was not the store’s error, nor mine, and apparently nor microsoft’s.

What do you mean by “processed” it?

By placing all needed items in the package.
They place items in package at manufacturer location and ship it to the store. I know for a fact Best Buy didn’t receive bulk loads of fragment packages (only a package with 1/2 of the described content) and receive another bulk load of the prepaid cards, open up the fragment package, place prepaid cards in there, and reseal the package… again.

So you’re under the impression that the codes would be IN the game that you preordered from Best Buy?

I’m under the impression that codes were supposed to be included with the limited edition.

No, the preorder codes were completely separate from the games and, again, were distributed by the store you preordered from. From what I’ve gathered, people who preordered from Best Buy got their codes via email. Mine came via email from Amazon as well and I know GameStop provided their codes on receipts.

None of those three retailers had the codes physically in the box as that is not how the preorders were handled this time around.

The codes were supposed to be given in a red and white bag included with the package… or so says Microsoft.

No Pre-Order codes were in the Limited Edition boxes. The only codes that came with that were the War Games Pass, the FUD code, and the LE exclusive content.

Yes, as I stated all I received was a lithograph poster and “cool” case along with the halo 4 disc.

What does the “cool case” look like?

Okay let’s get a couple things straightened out -

There’s pre order bonuses and then the LE bonuses.

Which game did you order? And when you say “cool” case, what do you mean?

The LE DOES come with a silver/red foil pack but those were not “pre-order content” which is what you’ve been claiming this whole time.

I pre-orded the LE from Best Buy.
