Didact’s and War Sphinxes? I have not read all of the halo books , but am aware that The Didact, and his children had War Sphinxes. Where are his children now. Who else besides the Didact’s family have War Sphinxes. How could the E3 teaser tie into these ideas?
| Greetings!
As stated in the Forerunner saga, all of the Didact and Librarian’s children are dead.
They perished in the Human-Forerunner War, after following in their father’s footsteps.
The War Sphinxes that survived the war, and guarded his Cryptum, belonged to his children.
These Sphinxes contained the mental imprints of some of the children.
As for whether or not other Forerunners owned War Sphinxes, I’m not sure.
However I wouldn’t say it’s not possible…
Some suggest that the Forerunner machine is a War Sphinx.
However, I believe it to be something entirely different.
There’s a speculation thread here. |

Thanks for your input, and redirection.
Are you saying that the war Sphynxes belonging to the Didact’s children are guarding his Cryptum?

Likely a good portion of the warrior-servants had them, they seem to be their equiv of fighter craft. Though they were apparently being phased out for Seekers.
The War Sphinxes specifically holding the durances of his children were destroyed by Seekers when Master Builder captured him.
