It’s a cryptum. I believe the Didact is inside. I don’t think we will be able to break it open because cryptum’s need a lot of force to crack open.
Maybe the Didact will free himself somehow.

Saw that the first time I saw the picture. My money is on the didact.
A cryptum needs someone to open it. In Cryptum, it had to be a Forerunner. Don’t know how that’ll apply in this game, though.
Wonder what it was doing when it scanned Chief. Confirmed he was a Reclaimer? shrug
if im not mistaken I believe a reclaimer can open a cryptum along with other forerunners.

It’s been awhile but I could have sworn in Cryptum Riser and Chakas had a part in opening the Cryptum as well, I could be wrong though.

Yeah, with their geas and all.
Maybe Chief will go into a trance and help some Forerunner open it against his will or something.

The Didacts emblem is upside down. I don’t think The Didact/Bornstellear is our nemesis. I think it’s Faber.
Quick question. The chief is a reclaimer, the chief is human. The forerunners fought a war with prehistoric humanity, so how come the humans are reclaimer? Is it because they were the only other group to ever hit tier 1?
As someone already mentioned above.
We don’t have confirmation on whether is is actually the Didact or not. Notice how the Didact’s symbol turns upside down at the end of the campaign demo? Usually when symbols are turned upside down, it means the opposite, opposite as in the anti-fillintheblank.
