Didact vs. Truth

The Didact and the Prophet of Truth are very similar. In the respect as they both had very simliar goals in dealing with the Flood and despise Humanity.

Truth: “You are, all of you, vermin. Cowering in the dirt, thinking… what, I wonder? That you might escape the coming fire? No. Your world will burn until its surface is but glass! And not even your Demon will live to creep, blackened, from its hole to mar the reflection of our passage; the culmination of our Journey. For your destruction is the will of the gods! And I…I am their instrument!”

The Didact: “So fades the great harvest of my betrayal. Even these beasts recognized what you were oblivious to, human. Your nobility has blinded you, as ever. The Librarian left little to chance, didn’t she? Turning my own guardians… my own world… against me. But what hubris to believe she could protect her pets from me forever. If you haven’t mastered even these primitives, then Man has not attained the Mantle. Your ascendance may yet be prevented. Time was your ally, human, but now it has abandoned you. The Forerunners… have returned.”

So, I have posted this, as I am curious.

In a political/religious debate based on their overzealous views, who do you think would win in such a discussion?

Well, ignoring the fact that Truth would likely cower at the sight of a living Forerunner…
That is a very interesting and thought provoking question. o.o

I’d prolly have to say Truth though; he’s used to manipulating the situation and other people to suit him, while the Didact has always been rather straight forward and therefore predictable, but so powerful that you really can’t stop him. As long as Truth kept him from getting on a roll, and didn’t get too confident, then the Didacts loss seems assured from there.
