Didact vs Brute

Just for a bit of fun who do you think would win in a fist fight between the Didact and a Brute (can be any Brute such as Tartarus)? The conditions of the fight are no fancy armour, no being a jedi (looking at you Didact and your grip ability), no weapons just good old fists.
Personally I am going Didact as he is essentially made for war and he is an expert strategist also I’m not also 100% here but I think he is also taller than a Brute, then again Brutes will most likely have mass on their side.
What do you guys think?

Edit: After some of the arguments people have made I am now a little more torn between who would win between them, I figure the Didact would crush an average Brute more often than not but a veteran and skilled Brute such as Tartarus would probably make for a far more evenly matched fight.

Ima go with the Brute. Sorry Ur-Didact.

I could definitely see a Brute being far more of a challenge and perhaps winning if it went beserk.

If armorless yeah, brute just wins due to …brute force.

Forerunners seemed really uncomfortable without their armor. I really doubt armorless training exercises come up.

Eh, I’m not too sure about that… Aaaaabs.

Well that single pic was more convincing than my argument

An all powerful 11ft tall Forerunner who can stop you in your tracks, lift you off the ground and throw you across the room without even touching you.

Or a Brute Chieftain with an unpredictable, reckless rage and a big hammer.

I’ll take the Forerunner.

I’m not saying he’s not fit. Rather he is more familiar with armored combat…and even more so primarily naval combat.

He’s also still armored in that pic.

OP specified without armor or weapons. Didact doesn’t get his suppression fields.

With armor, yeah, he’d make a total joke of the brute.

In that situation, I’d still go with the Didact.

Think about it: Not only is he 11ft tall and ripped, he’s also thousands of years old and a military genius. He might be insane, but he’s methodical. He would tear the brute to shreds.

Not to mention, with hands that big, I’m pretty sure he could crush the Brute’s skull, but that’s just my head canon.

No, he’s still armored in this pic. If you’re referring to the metal that still appears on him, well, that looks fused with his body. So you’d have to remove, like, his limbs 'n stuff if you don’t want any of that… in which case, the Brute would definitely win.

You’re not far off. The forerunners mutated themselves to suit their rates. as a warrior servant the Didact is basically the forerunner equivalent of a spartan. He is a lethal combatant even without armour, and with amour he has no trouble demolishing entire teams of spartans.

That was the basis of my thinking, the guy was pretty much born to be an unstoppable combatant.

An 11 foot tall demigod warrior that is over 10,000 years old physically augmented with the best technology in the galaxy several times over to be an unstoppable murder machine and tactical genius versus an angry, highly intelligent ape with a large hammer.

I’mma go with Sundered Star.

With no weapons, powers, or armor…it boils down to fighting style and strength.

My inner fanboy says go with a Brute…hands down. Brutes can be totally vicious if need be. Despite the size difference…when something gets really peeved off and starts attacking…it can be scary amd deadly.

I am with the Brute on this one.

Master Chief has slaughtered his way through hundreds of Jiralhanae Chieftains.

Ur-Didact threw Chief into a wall with a hand gesture and was an inch away from killing him on three different occasions within 3 months.

Look up the Ur-Didact before you make a blind guess people.

We have a winner.

I’d still be banking on the Ur-Didact given the fact that they are genetically modified to be the perfect killing machines; where as brutes developed their capabilities through natural selection Prometheans were specifically altered through Genesongs to make them perfect; and if he was out of the armour for long enough the major distortion of feeling the world around them the Didact would be medically fine to beat tartar sauce to death with his own skull

A Brute being beat to death with its own skull gotta channel my inner Grif “That doesn’t seem physically possible” but I totally want to see this showdown.

Builders are uncomfortable without armor but Warrior-Servants, especially Prometheans, seem fine without it. The Didact seemed very comfortable when first released in Halo Cryptum and his imprint in Bornstellar later talks something about Warrior-Servant rituals before battle that are done outside of armor.

The Didact was incredibly imposing even without armor or weapons. Not only that, but his mental faculties and combat experience put him well being any angry brute. Of course he’d win.
