…Or did you pay for a game that was ready to be played on release day?
This is obviously a beta. Maybe 343 was too afraid to make a beta just because they knew they would be hammered with insults. So they thought they would take the Call of Duty route without our concern.
So much ignorance.
Just because there was no PUBLIC Beta doesn’t mean Beta testing wasn’t done.
/thread.
I’ve been told that they released it so early so they’d make money off of Christmas sales. While I’d like to think that they wouldn’t do that, I find it easier and easier to believe. They need to fix a lot of things before it becomes the game it has the potential to be.

I understand this, but there are still so many issues that need to be addressed. It seems like we are playing a beta, what with the immense amount of glitches, exploits, and other features that just aren’t ready to be played yet. cough file share cough

i like how you said “/thread” like that is going to end the thread.
There is obviously a ton of bad things about this game, maybe you are still in the honeymoon phase and haven’t realized your girlfriend’s flaws…
Remember Halo 2 at launch? There was not public beta and it felt like a beta until they released the TU

This.
THANK YOU! I have been saying this for a while now, most of Halo 4’s problems could have been fixed with a public beta

You believe the game is a beta, they’re your opinions not facts. Just because you agree with someone else on the same thing doesn’t make them facts either.
Have to admit I would have thought a public Beta would have helped polish Halo 4 a lot. Even Bungie, who had been making Halo games for 10 years, had a public Beta for Reach.
It just knocks the rough edges off a great game.
Anyone else fed up with their loadouts getting reset to default so often. I end up having to go AFK for a short while just to fix the damage.

Indeed. The issues with the DMR and boltshot could have been fixed with a public beta.
We got an unfinished game, IMO, but NOT as far back as a beta.

I was saying this exact same thing. Halo 4 is the perfect example of why i will not buy injustice or gowj without out a beta or just playing it first. The main reason i haven’t taken halo back is because i bought the map pack (no refunds)

Sure doesn’t seem like a fully polished game

Look at gears of war 3 and their practically open beta, it was only open for a month but it gave the game such a better weapon balance after testing the new weapons they had thrown into it, as well as them finding little glitches that needed to be fixed. A private beta is ok, but if you cant have a big open beta to let in those people that do try to abuse cheaper/broken aspects of the game and find glitches it just makes the experience worse at launch.
Obviously you guys have never played a Bethesda game, you’d have a different opinion on what needs a beta and what doesn’t.
Anyway, my point is, is that no game at launch is polished, there will always be glitches, some games more than others.
I paid for Halo.
I got Halo. It is imperfect, but to the best of my knowledge it is also being worked on. I’m willing to be patient. If they can start fixing things BEFORE the DLC starts flowing then I’ll start taking 343i very seriously.
I paid for Halo 4…I got the Beta for Halo 4…When does the Beta end? I would really like to know.

So would I, man. So would I…
