I have seen so many youtube videos of people getting their Assassinations stolen, and either Raging Hard, or Raging Too Hard(Betrayal) and I think that you deserve your kill stolen if you assassinate. Just because you want a humiliating kill doesnt mean you should humiliate the other player, because Karma can be a Yoink and have you be humiliated. Either go for the kill, or dont go for the kill, If you dont want to fight him, dont. If you want to go for the kill, BEAT HIM DOWN! Because if your assassination and humiliation is stolen and you become humiliated, thats your problem, you could have let the other guy have the kill. Your kill got stolen because you felt like showing off instead of going for the kill, And because you didnt go for the kill, you didnt get the kill.
Assassination = Showoff, Kid who cares about the way the kill looks more than the kill; Kill Stolen/Kicked
Beat Down = Kid who cares about the kill; Gets the Kill
Yoink = Person who takes a benefit from the assassinator caring more about how the kill looks than the actual kill; Betrayed, Flamed, and gets to humiliate his teammate, giving the same feeling you get when you are assassinated
How to fix this?
Be a beatdown, If you go for a beatdown, you cant have it stolen.
Less Assassinators = Less Yoinkers… You get my point?
Or just don’t assasinate around teamates because the chances are they’ll yoink your kill? Doesn’t seem too complicated to me. And seeing as I’m guaranteed the kill when no teamates or other enemies are around. I respectfully disregard your advice. Good day.
I don’t agree that people who Assassinate “don’t care about the kill”, they’d just like to get it in a more elaborate and awesome way. However, I DO agree that if they can’t stand Yoinking to the extent they Rage or Uber-Rage, they should just stop if it bothers them so much.

Agreed. I have nothing against Yoinking myself. I do it whenever possible. At the end of the day, I have a choice between getting another kill or leaving it for someone else on grounds of morality. If they want to Betray me over it then they’re showing the same lack of Morality they’re apparently raging against.

Agreed. I’ve learned to accept the fact that your teamates are most likely going to be bums and yoink you. While I don’t yoink personally, I’ve learned never to yoink around teamates because they rarely extend the same kindness.
yeah, I mean its not like there’s Acheivements, challenges or commendations related to getting assassinations, are there?
Seriously, if your going to yoink a team mate just because you can, your a pretty poor sportsman and team-mate. And if your going to pull the ‘it all goes to the team’ excuse, well, that works both ways. Why do you deserve the kill more than they did? if it ‘all goes to the team’ why didn’t you let them have it, or are you just covering yourself for being a self centered child?

did you ever for one second stop and think? there are achievements and commandations for assinations, but thats one out of like, 200. If they dont assassinate when they arnt going for challenges and stuff, thats fine, but if they always assassinate for looks and to show off, you obviousily dont deserve the kill if you want bragging rights and to humiliate the other player, and if you feel as if its fun to humiliate people, then when you try to humiliate, fail, and are humiliated, then you obviousily dont deserve the kill. If i try and noscope someone and someone else kills him first, thats my fault, Im not entitled to that kill, If I hit him and someone else take it, I should have waiting for him to shoot first or I should have aimed at the head. I’m grateful if I’m Yoink’d during the heat of a battle. Being stuck in animation leaves you completely vulnerable. If I’m Yoink’d when there’s absolutely no other threats around, then I get over it. Not a big deal.

This guy understands. If he deeply needed the kill, he would beat the guy down. He doesnt have some strange serial killer holding a 45 to his head saying “Get an assassination!”

This is true in a technical sense, but in a psychological sense, when someone begins an assassination, the kill is (mostly thanks to human nature) psychologically “theirs”. You can’t blame them for getting a little annoyed when you take “their” kill away; they did the work of sneaking up on someone without being seen and initiating the animation, while all you contributed was a single button-press to the dome after the would-be assassin de-shielded the target for you. They do all the work and you take all the benefit.
Hell, I don’t even think it’s the score that matters. Assassins probably wouldn’t care if Yoinking gave the “thief” the point but let the assassin still have the kill itself. But that’s just not how it works.
Now, throwing the controller across the wall and mic-spamming obscenities is more than “a little annoyed”. That’s the point at which the would-be assassin is taking things too far. But you can’t fault someone for getting a little annoyed when they’re Yoinked.

Of course in reality the kill isn’t theirs until the game says so. I personally don’t yoink unless we’re in the chaos of battle and I don’t react in time to see him assasinating and hit rb out of reflex. While in reality the kill isn’t “theirs” yet they still put in the effort so I let them have the reward…
I know better than to expect the same in return though…
lol? people think everything is theirs. Just listen to the chat, you will often hear “that idiot stole my sniper” or “dude, that was my ghost!” people assume everything is theirs. And btw, If the kill is psycologically theirs, then that means 1 person gets all the kills beause to them everything is their kill. Its not who gets there first, Its who succeds first. you can be the first one at a restaurant, yet your not always the first to get the food, Its who orders first. same thing, its not who starts to attack who gets the kill, its who finishes it. anyways, if you go like, 2 in 30, either the other team is good, or your assist count is like, 20 or something
