Did You Enjoy Halo 5?

Yes, yes I did

In terms of campaign… Repetitive gameplay, run of the mill campaign: Shoot these exact same enemies which you were fighting for the past 15 years down linear paths, with open space areas to try to fool you that it’s actually open. Pretty much no new enemies. Repetitive boss fights. Small battles with very few AI on screen (compare it to Reach). Average run of the mill mission design. Crappy setpieces (like the anticlimactic kraken ‘fight’). Gobsmackingly stupid story, which also wasn’t even representative of the ad campaigns (like hunt the truth), with poorly developed characters and superficial lore fan service by having blue team there as glorified totem poles with guns attached (don’t forget the Arbiter being there because why not). It’s a poorly done rehash of everything in every other Halo campaign. Would not play again.

In terms of multiplayer… pretty much the most fun I’ve had

Yep, multiplayer is top notch, campaign is not even worth playing though a part from seeing what happens next in the story.

It wasn’t bad, but it was far from great. You spend probably 70% of the game as Locke’s team while they do a whole lot of nothing. Vale and Tanaka are really dull characters. Buck and Locke are alright. They completely lied with the advertising. The story felt rushed. It almost felt like there was a story they were running with and they scrapped it and redid it. The ending was pretty sweet though. It just wasn’t that good.

ScaredEagle might want to play Halo Reach again because there weren’t many AI on screen at all in that game. Halo 5 definitely has more ai per battle by far.

Yep great game imo. I am enjoying both the campaign and mp.

Really enjoying it so far. Can’t wait to finish the campaign. Solo Legendary is a good challenge without it being a nightmare, and warzone is super fun. I like rocking the pistol to pop heads from far away

Well I must be remembering from firefight, because I definitely recall the amount of enemies on screen can easily get over 20.

I’ll be playing this for a while

Campaign and mp are awesome
Finally a good halo again

Yes I did.

The best things I could notice early in the game where:

Music
Voice and acting
Art
Weapon sounds and general Audio.
Alternate route improvement for campaign, where Halo 4 had this problem. Halo 5 certainly doesn’t

The only thing I hope replaying will solve is that the last few levels are really confusing in terms of story and direction. The Story isn’t bad IMO but it’s SO much so fast while trying to navigate a sea of gray.

Edit: 1 VERY LITTLE minor thing. After IMO the beautiful Main Menu of Halo 4… Halo 5 looks like it received a budget cut on that front

Amazing. I had tons of fun.
