I don’t think I will ever beat this game LASO solo. I DID however complete it Legendary solo. I’m curious If anyone else has done it and if so, what was the most frustrating part (or parts?)
I, too, have done it on Legendary, solo, but not LASO. The hardest and most annoying part for me with LASO is the Iron Skull. I think they might have gotten it backwards. When playing alone, if you die with the Iron Skull on, you go back to the start of the entire level. If you are playing with others and anyone dies, then everyone is sent back to the previous checkpoint reached. I mean, I guess it is a bit balanced that way because with more players, there are more options for people to die and there for it would make more chances for the level to revert to start than it would with a solo individual…but regardless. The Iron Skull is what really kills LASO for me. It sucks getting so far, even to the very end of the mission and then you have one lucky enemy get the perfect shot off or fast ball you with an unavoidable plasma grenade and BAM! Back to the beginning.
It makes me wonder though. I seen a story about a guy who played all the Dark Souls games in order and if he died on any one of them (or maybe it was if he took any damage at all…will have to recheck the video I seen), he went all the way back to the beginning of the very first game. I wonder if anyone has done this with the Halo series? I might be tempted to try this. I heard they had fixed the Master Chief Collection. I might reinstall it and see if I can play through Halo 1 - 5 on solo legendary without dying period and if I die, I go back to the very beginning of Halo 1, no matter how far along I am.
