I remember in the past that every time I ranked up I would always earn a point, but I don’t anymore. Is there something I don’t know? Is this a bug or a feature that got patched in? Do you stop earning points for ranking up past a certain rank?
You don’t get season points for leveling up past a certain rank that’s just how it’s always been

After level 100 which is Tour 4 Rank 10 you stop earning season points which is by design. Does the game inform you of this? No. Is it an arbitrary restriction? Yes.

when you hit level 100 you stop gaining points, which does effect veteran players badly since they won’t get as many since they played it before the season points were introduced.

As others have said, after you hit level 100 you stop earning points.
Season 1 of MCC added Halo: Reach to the game. This season lasted over 7 months if I’m recalling correctly, and leveling up to 100 would allow you to buy everything in the Season Pass.
It was a bit silly at the time as you would level up, earn a point, and then spend it on the next item in the Season Pass. We couldn’t buy anything we wanted in that particular set of 10 items originally, and there were no challenges to earn points or XP or an Exchange store to spend our surplus of points.
Plus playing quite regularly I don’t think I hit level 100 until 3 months after the season started, as the only way to level up was playing matches.
I was hoping 343i would update this since there is so much more content to unlock than those original 100 items - however were it updated to allow the earning of points past level 100 - I would like to be awarded points for each level I’ve earned past level 100.
