I was wondering, did they nerf the Needler?
Because i’ve been playing the last couple days, and i cant kill anyone with the needler!
I would shoot a whole clip into a guy and it would only take his shields off!
You’re supposed to be able to kill them in one clip, but i cant. It was supposed to
be like a Power Weapon, but now it really is just a piece of junk on the ground.
So, is it nerfed or was i just playing bad?
I don’t think they nerfed it I got a running riot on invasion yesterday only killing with it for the commendation

Well, using the needler means your bad so that’s probably why you can’t kill anyone.

We all get it now, just because you use a different weapon than the DMR and Sniper must mean your bad! jeez never thought about it, I’ll start only using the DMR to kill people because thats the “right” way to play so im not bad anymore!
they sorta made the needler more balanced hers how:
u cant expect a needler to kill a fully shielded guy, but it only takes THREE NEEDLES to make a non shielded guy go boom!! thast right only 3 needles to see fireworks!!
so yeah my tip is to use the plasma pistol to remove shields and then switch to needler ( i know i know the unpopular ‘‘Noob Combo’’)

Were you playing an Anniversary game. The guy might’ve had an overshield.

Yes you can; usually it takes about one clip.
The needler is only effective at mid range, and is only a “power weapon” when at mid range and in an open area/one-way hallway. You probably were just firing too close, or they had a lot of cover to duck behind. Space yourself out from other players if you want to use the needler right. (Just enough so that the reticule is red, it lets the needles home in easier)

I often wondered if the needler was nerfed myself. The needler used to be a pretty quick kill, but now it does seem to take a lot of needles to kill. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I remember being able to get two kills out of one needler clip, if done properly.

Why would you use the AR?

My guess is that you weren’t standing in-range. I know whenever I try and use it when the reticle isn’t red, 80% of the Needles don’t hit the enemy. So try standing closer, so the reticle is red.
