Did the Marine Corps adopt the nickname devil dogs

So because the UNSCMC is a multinational branch that draws heavily off its american counterpart would they have garnered the title devil dogs?

Captain Keyes called them “Leathernecks”, but I don’t remember if Devil Dogs was used anywhere.

Not officially, but considering that both the Encyclopedia and the Halo Wars guide book both mentioned that the UNSC Marines took heavily from the U.S. Marines I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept it.
