In my head I think a guy in a UNSC radio place sent out a rickroll. But the Covenant got it found out about humans, so next action war. Or in a different timeline the covies saw the video and worshiped Rick Astley as a god and played never gonna give you up to everyone there. The latter is not cannon but funny to think about. But I think it started because of a rickroll also I would like to think that they froze Rick Astley and he is living with Chips Dubbo leading a army of Grunts to kill Craig and the bad guys on the ring. Then take over the ring and force everyone to get rickrolled or they will fire the ring. But it did start because of a rickroll.
