Did the Hammer Storm update touch the aiming?

I’ve been noticing a lot lately in games where it feels like all the aim assist temperately just disappear. The funny thing is, it’s not just me that’s missing. My opponent is also missing all of their shots too at the same time. And we have this extremely weird long noobie battle where both of us simply continue to miss shots and eventually whoever AR first wins.

Now this could be all be placebo. But I’ve been having these weird battles a lot lately since this patch (or hotfix) dropped. This reminds me when 343 applied a hotfix to MCC to fix Halo:CE and they removed all the aim assist by mistake and had to pull the patch.

I haven’t noticed a difference. There was also no mention of this in the update notes.

For some reason I’ve been doing much better lately, especially after the Hammer Storm update. Whatever 343i did, I’d like them to keep it this way.
