Did the Didact die?

Did the Didact die? I don’t think so.

I don’t think he died but we’ll have to wait and see

It is open to debate.

We saw him fall into an abyss of sorts. There has been some discussion that he was on Requiem, which is destroyed now…

I think that it would take more than a grenade to take out Forerunner armour.

That is just me purely speculating though…

no

Based on the Halo4 Wiki, its says he fell into the Composers Slip space. Don’t know if this is true, don’t Forerunner Armor have the ability to teleport?

The Ur-Didact is not dead, and will be a minor antagonist in the next two Reclaimer trilogy games

nah

Nope. He ain’t dead yet.

No. The Didact had special underpants constructed out of salvaged light bridge technology.

He had a Hollywood style “death” scene. There is no way he isn’t dead.

For those who want to point out the whole grenade into a pool of lava thing +Nuke I’d have you reminded that:

  1. He had been in a pool of lava with no armor on for 100,000 years when we found him
  2. When has a Pulse grenade ever stop anyone?
  3. Chief survived that nuke as well.

If he fell into slipspace, he has forerunner armor and the armor can probably withstand slipspace.

Chief survived that nuke because Cortana encased him in a hardlight bubble.
A pulse grenade has stopped me on legendary campaign.

Its not lava, its a slip space portal.

I don’t believe the Ur-Didact Died.

I thought he died at first, but later found out he fell into a split space portal.

Looked like lava to me. But I’ll agree with you. That’s probably how he escapes.

> A pulse grenade has stopped me on legendary campaign

I’m guessing you tried walking through one without a shield.

The Didact didn’t fall into lava, he fell into the slipspace portal that was opened under the Composer. Where did this “lava” thing come from?

> I’m guessing you tried walking through one without a shield.

nope.
