Do you think that the 4 shot BR, coupled with the ranking system, has saved competitive Halo? If not, what do you think Halo needs to be “saved” competitively?
4-shot BR didn’t take away sprint, flinch, make good maps or change much overall.
So no, I don’t think a 4 shot BR saved it. Did it help? Sure, but there’s a lot more that needs to be done that I doubt 343i will do.

Also flag drop. We need that back.
It’s definitely a step in the right direction for the return of competitive Halo
No. Competitive Halo is still in the slumps and the BR is still a faulty, inconsistent weapon. If not for nostalgia this community would have switched to the DMR long ago as it’s the superior utility rifle.
The Battle Rifle does not -Yoink!- good sir!

No!
Evidence:
If win/loss CSR is considered the the true measure of competitive Halo (like Halo 3 with win/loss for ranked) and, you consider that Team Throwdown and Team Objectives are Halo 3 like play lists with win/loss ranked CSR etc, then, again no. Team Throwdown and Team Objectives have still been second and third LAST o the sixteen or so play lists prior to the weapon tweak and since the weapon tweak was released, No real increase has happened with so called completive Halo.
On the other hand, there has been a very noticeable increase in Infinity play lists, BTIS and IS, number one and two ranked lists on launch day and still as of this post. Prior to the weapon tweaking TIS had dropped below 10000 daily population and IS below five thousand. Since weapon tweaking, both have increased again to be over 10000 (almost 11000) and six thousand high daily.
BTIS/IS have been most popular since launch day because of their Infinity settings. Some say that Infinity is too much like COD, yet, it is most popular. Since weapon tweking, more CODlike fast kill times and its popularity grows higher…more COD like.
Yet again, those that play Halo 4 have voted with their A buttons as to what modern Halo should be. They are playing modern Halo and are not on the forums Yoinking.

All I see is you comparing the population of two incredibly niche playlists to the only two standard Slayer playlists of the game. That’s beyond illogical.
can still call in Ordinance
Nope. Competitive Halo is still dead.
Save? no
Prolonged it? Yes, along with the rest of the update.
World Ordinance still has random drops and personal Ordinance is still random and unfair so yeah this game is in no way competitive.
