Poorly made is probably a wrong choice of words but it looks downgraded in terms of graphics compared to past games.
I don’t what build they used for the video or of it’s theater itself but it bothered me a little.

That video was taken during the beta stages. You would see that if you kept up with the Halo 4 news and/or watched the Multiplayer Vidoc.

Why does it look better in Halo 3 than?
It looks like the model is lacking shadows and proper lighting.
It’s just a different art style.
The new one is smoother than the old ones.

In the Waypoint article that included these videos it said it was unfinished content.
If I remember right, I think this came out before E3 and BSangel was saying they were still working day and night on getting the lighting and shaders done in time to show for E3.

It was released today because the GameStop voting contest is on, but it could have been made months ago in prep. It’s not like GameStop contacted rooster teeth last week and said “whip up a promo vid!”

I understand. I would just think they would try to release promo footage of the final game instead of the beta especially at this point of time

Wow, just realized my mistake. The background map looks just fine, but it looks almost as if there is no lighting on the character models, and from all of the other in-game screenshots I’ve seen I still think this is unfinished content they’re showing.
