Did Joseph Staten come back to voice the Grunts?

I remember he left Bungie a few years ago but still managed to rekindle his relationship with Halo when he wrote the Shadow of Intent novel.

Did he also come back to voice the grunts now that they speak English again or is it someone new?

The grunts are spot-on in this game, hilarious. I didn’t think 343 had it in them to write Bungie-era quality, so maybe you’re right they got Staten.

No, they just pitched up the voices of some voice actors (it’s shown in either a Halo bulletin or the Sprint). Joseph Staten could do the voice on the spot, pure madness.

Thanks for the confirmation! I had a hunch it was Staten, especially after seeing his name under “Voice Actors” in the Halo 5 Credits.
