I could have sworn they said later on in the weekend, maybe Sunday they would open up the flight for slayer… of that’s the case… what are we just doing bot target practice until then? I hope not, I expected to jump in slayer right off the bat, thought that’s what it was.
Sorry, man, but they’ve been saying the first flight would be about bot functionality since they first mentioned the flight last week. Based on what they’ve said about higher difficulty bots, they might be more fun than expected.
They did say in the latest blog that if they hit all their test benchmarks they will open up social slayer later the weekend, but that’s a big if.

The Halo community is one of the most powerful Red-eye’d gamers out there. I feel the only way they (we) wont hit those marks is if there are too many technical difficulties.
They stated that it would be bot arena and academy for this preview in last week’s Inside Infinite. Considering that both are entirely new additions to Halo, built from the ground up, it would make sense that they want to get feedback and data on both of them before anything else.
I mean if the bots are ok I guess it’s possible to be fun… just nothing like beating a human competitor, that’s what makes it fun. No matter how similar they play, just knowing it’s a bot kinda kills it. I get this is a flight and more for the game than for us etc etc. Just wonder if they could have done like 2 humans + 2 bots VS 2 humans+ 2 bots. Can’t imagine shooting at bots for more than an hour or two. Hopefully my fellow flighters pick up my slack and we get some human games.
We have to hit all their benchmarks first, so I guess we will be getting slayer this flight!
I don’t see any reason why it shouldn’t happen as they stated in the live stream. If the server holds up and they don’t run into any problems they will open it up for 4v4 PVP. More than likely Sunday evening a few hours before it is closed. It would be a good chance for them to do some bit of testing before they roll out the next flight. After all hopefully this 343 knows what the ladies like.
