A few days after the “Technical Preview” ended, I received an e-mail saying that it had been removed from my Steam library; and, sure enough, I no longer see it listed on Steam.
However, I’m not sure if the Technical Preview actually uninstalled. Unfortunately, I don’t recall how much free space I had on my SSD before I installed the beta, so I can’t compare. The beta is still listed in Programs and Features (both the Control Panel list and the Win10 list), and clicking “Uninstall” just opens up Steam, and then nothing else happens.
So, did/does the Technical Preview actually uninstall itself? Is it just an issue with the registry? Or do I essentially have ~16GB of unusable space on my drive?

So you got the invite for Steam or the “Xbox PC App”?

On Xbox it isn’t uninstalled, it simply says when you load it up that you aren’t “authorised to play halo infinite”
I found that when the final “update” was released once the preview concluded, the update would remove the majority of files from the directory, but not the directory itself, along with an uninstall exe file and I believe a few other config files. The game will still show as installed until you either uninstall it or manually delete the files.
If however you backed up the files beforehand, and therefore they were not removed, the game will still run but give you an error message that you aren’t authorized to play, much like the Xbox build.
