I just sucked it up and bought the defiant map pack since every time I enter matchmaking the game very earnestly reminds me that I’m missing content and should go the marketplace immediately and remedy all my ails by spending microsoft points. I thought, what the heck, more variety in maps I get tossed into as cannon fodder for some 10 year old from Iowa right? Well do they ever actually show up? I have yet to see ANY of the new maps I just paid for appear. I understand that it requires everyone you’re matched with to also have the same DLC but I kinda figured more people did! Why isn’t there a fourth option in custom search for users with the same dlc if you’re not going to make it a completely separate playlist like anniversary? Kinda feel like I just wasted my money, anyone else have this problem?
If you have the Noble map pack then you can play Squad slayer and that has only DLC maps, but waiting for them to come up in normal searches is kind of a drag =/

Just to correct you, Squad DLC.
Did you waste your money?
Depends how much you play Halo, As the newer maps do show up alot more than they did previously.
So trust me, It’s been worse.

I think that the Anniversary is the best DLC that you can get for your money as there are lots of playlists just for them. When I played Team Slayer the past 2 weeks, I got to see quite a bit of DLC come up. It seems that if you are in an unpopulated playlist, it might be harder to get a match with everyone who has DLC.
Then there is also the Squad DLC playlist, but you would have to own all of the DLC in order to play it.
Didn’t realize there was a playlist specifically for defiant and noble maps, thanks for the heads up guys, makes me feel better about my purchase
