Did I miss out?

Due to insufficient funds I haven’t been able to obtain an xbox one or an ordinance drop containing the master chief edition. Did I miss out on anything big in the Halo 5 beta?

It was fun. And frustratingly competitive. Two very important parts of a Halo game.

AMEN

Absolutely. It was competitive, had skill gap, and was a blast to play and watch as well. There’s a reason why this fane has 160k pre orders

Well I it sounds like I missed on some hot action. Did you guys get any exclusive rewards for participating?

Its was Great I suggest watching Twitch streams or check the Xboxclips.com under halo 5 tags it has great videos

all the armor we unlocked in the beta is Automatically unlocked for the full Game I think.

I will say, even watching still doesn’t do justice for how good it truly is.

OP, all hope that you’ll be able to have it this Fall!

Meh. Not really.

Its pretty generic. If youve played cod aw, destiny or titanfall youve already experienced something very similiar to h5.

nope. if you played titanfall or cod aw you techinically already played a h5 clone

Like the two above me, if you have played any recent twitch shooters, then you have pretty much already experienced it, except H5 does not have classes.

It’s pretty much a standard, generic, modern FPS. Not a bad thing, but nothing to be sad about missing really.

It really amuses me how you can think halo 5 feels like titanfall. There is no double jumping or wallrunning in halo 5.

Please, the AW comparison is completely null and void. “Its just a twitch shooter with more health!!!” Yeah right. I’ve been playing twitch shooters for years, halo 5 feels nothing like them.

I loved it… It was enjoyable and very fun. I have played COD AW and Titanfall. And Halo 5 feels NOTHING like it IMO. When I played Halo 5, it never reminded me of those games.

More like a hot mess.

It’s like Halo 4.5, essentially (minus ordnance drops and the shift of Armour Abilities into something that everyone spawns with, so instead of having just sprint and thruster pack, you now have thruster pack, sprint, ground pound and shoulder barge). The bullet magnetism was ridiculous (On more than one occasion I’ve had grenades explode in my hand as much as I’ve made my opponent’s grenades explode in theirs).

i agree with:

I played two weeks of it, due to my terrible internet taking a whole week to download MCC. But once I played it, it was frustrating in a good way. I started out pretty bad, but I eventually got into the new mechanics of the BR. I liked using the spartan abilities (Although I usually missed and died). I can’t wait for the whole game to come out. When I got Halo 4, I was exited a whole lot more for campaign than MP. But for Halo 5 I’m pumped for both. I’t really hoping the MP will be as big of a hit as Halo: Reach’s MP (tbh, I didn’t play Halo Reach, sadly. Did I miss anything in Halo: Reach besides everyones death and the awesome MP?) the Halo series is the only FPS games I play, so I can’t really say much about the “copying” crap that is surrounding Halo: 5 and CoD: AW
tl;dr: You missed a buttload of fun.

I wouldn’t call it as much a twitch shooter as COD or Titanfall.

Ehh it was OK. If you are more casual, you probably thought the game had a high skill gap (in actuallity, it was just a learning curve, not the same) but if you are more competitive then you realized that there were no ranks, no map control (partially due to sprint, partially to 343’s terrible map design. Who puts a hole in top mid of Midship?), lower skill gap, and frustrating get out of jail free mechanics. Its kinda ehh either way though.

I will agree that is isn’t a twitch shooter, but the game is tredding dangerously close to those grounds, and you may as well just call it an arena/tactical/twitch hybrid.
