Spent almost 2 months working on a forge map, Tuesday I went to load up the map to do some more work and it just sat at the “Connecting to Server” part. After awhile it just said it could not reach the dedicated server. Other maps loaded up fine. I tried the next day and same thing, I tried yesterday and same thing. Did I just loose almost 2 months worth of work?
Did you try loading an earlier version of the map?
(File Browser > Map Details > Version History > Press X to edit in Forge)
I don’t think your map is gone forever.
I recently had an issue with my map crashing the server every time I tried to generate the Navigation Mesh.
It got to the point that it would not even let me load up the map without just redirecting me to the server-error splash.
I researched a bunch, and one person suggested not just restarting the game, but hard-rebooting my XBOX.
I did that, and the map loaded up…AND, after a little trial and error, using the same method, I was EVENTUALLY able to get it to load the Nav-Mesh as well.

You can try to delete the most recent version of the map and try an older save. I had this problem a few times, hope you save frequently. I pretty much save after any significant portion of work done, before light baking, after light baking, etc.
