I preordered the halo 5 console from the Microsoft store and never received my pre order bonus weapon skins. I called in to customer support today hoping I could get the email resent or something to that extent but the lady who was helping me told me that my preorder did not come with any pre order bonuses because Microsoft changed the preorder bonuses to include that weapon skin at some point and the change was NOT retroactive. She told me I preordered before the weapon skin was a bonus and hence it was not included in my preorder. I told her straight up I did not believe she was correct and asked if I could speak to someone else that might be more familiar with preorders but she refused to do anything at that point except repeatedly tell me that there was no digital preorder bonus included in my order. I ordered my game on August 18th and I’m just wondering if it is possible that microsoft only gave preorder skins to people who ordered between august 19th and october 20th or if anyone can confirm that the lady from Microsoft customer support was correct. It doesn’t seem like something that would happen, but I guess I could just be ignorant. (Redirecting...) If anyone has ever had a similar problem and gotten it solved I would love any advice, I guess the skins aren’t really a deal breaker because I’m under the impression we can earn weapon skins in game somehow but it’s gonna be kinda upsetting if I have to RNG REQ packs for months to get something I could’ve gotten if Microsoft were just more on top of sending out their emails. I’ve always received my preorder bonuses from gamestop and amazon without any trouble, I feel like with Microsoft I’ve cut out a middleman but am somehow having more trouble than I ever imagined getting a cosmetic preorder bonus could possibly be.
