Did I get banned?

So I logged into MCC and attempted to play Firefight/Grifball with a friend and I was met with this message upon trying to launch the game.

" CONNECTING SERVER

Connecting server to get Matchmaking data , please wait."

I tried to relog into Steam and shut it down and sign back in. Is this just a general error on my end or did I get banned? I did nothing wrong when playing , I never griefed/trolled/ never AFK spun farmed/ and I played fairly. Is this a general issue or are others having these disruptions as well?

Hey just log out of your profile, and log back in, it fixed my issue.
